Shaunavon Wickenheiser Center
VPM provided subcontractor services to “supply and erect” this 52,600sqft arena for a General Contractor in 2007.
The building is constructed with a pre-engineered steel building. The exterior building finishes are a combination of multi-colored prefinished metal panels and stucco embossed metal wall panels. The roof system is a standing seam roof panel with thermal blocks.
The various panel colors provide the building with a unique look that stands out to all the surrounding communities. The stucco panels used on the front of the building are a unique architectural feature used to accent the brickwork installed.
One challenge VPM faced during construction was fast-tracking the building design with the foundation construction. We provided many cost saving ideas and construction techniques to aid in the design and minimize errors during construction. A successful project completed on time and on budget.
